Established in 2017

In true Louisiana Mardi Gras spirit, long time park patrons and camping cousins, Chris and Shawn decided to decorate their golf cart and ride around the campground.  Curious camping neighbors inquired, and these two ladies shared the extra decorations with them. Suddenly the park had a little parade! Patrons enjoyed it so much, they convinced Shawn and Chris to make it an annual event. Friends' of Palmetto Island is proud to support and promote this group's event.
