We’d love for you to join us for a weekend of visiting, good food, and Christmas cheer!

Our Christmas Camping Weekend is December 11–13, 2026, at Palmetto Island State Park. It’s a chance to relax before the holiday rush and enjoy time with friends.

Everyone is welcome! You do not have to camp or be a member to participate. Come for the whole weekend or join us for any of these events:

• Friday, December 11, at 6 p.m.: Potluck Social in the Meeting Room. Bring a covered dish and your beverages.
• Saturday, December 12, from 9–11 a.m.: Christmas Crafts for the Kids at the Nature Center.
• Saturday, December 12, at 11 a.m.: Membership & Volunteer Christmas Social in the Meeting Room, hosted by Friends of Palmetto Island and Latanier Cookers. Enjoy visiting and a complimentary jambalaya lunch with trimmings, served at noon. Bring your own beverages; a dessert or finger food is welcome but not required.  Call Jamie at 337-384-7030 to let her know what you are bringing.
• Saturday, December 12, at 6 p.m.: S’mores and Christmas music at Campsite 39. Bring your chair and beverages.
• Sunday, December 13, at 8 a.m.: Complimentary pancake breakfast with sausage, juice, and coffee at Campsite 39.

We’ll also have a Christmas gift exchange game at Saturday’s social! If you’d like to participate, please bring a wrapped gift valued at $20 or more. Joining the game is optional.
If you plan to camp, please make your own camping reservations.
The camping weekend and Christmas social flyers are below with more details. We appreciate all you’ve contributed to our events and hope you’ll bring your family and friends to celebrate the season with us!
